I Found these beautiful hand painted Chinese Christmas balls (one red, one white) at the fake market the other day and the colour palette of this years decoration was instantly decided. Buying Christmas ornaments here in Shanghai is like nothing I have ever experienced (that being said my experience until now has been in Ikea, Iceland). Despite China being a country that doesn´t celebrate Christmas officially there are markets and shops stuffed with ornaments in every colour, shape and size imaginable.
There was though one favourite ornament of mine I couldn´t find, the English Quality Street chocolate. To substitute for that I found these colourful pieces of chocolate below and the good thing about them is that unlike the good on the outside and inside Quality Street these taste not that good and I will therefore hopefully leave them alone, but probably not.
