In January I went on a weekend trip to a small city in China, or so I thought, called Ningbo. Of course small in China (population wise ) is not the average small as Ningbo is a city of 7,6 millions, similar to the population of New York.
To be honest I spent majority of the weekend at the Marriot Hotel breakfast and lunch buffet ( I was there accompanying Mr P on a work and annual party trip so I got free buffet tickets). I never say no to free food but this was the best buffet I have ever gotten my mouth on and you could stay as long as you wanted. Or maybe they just felt sorry for the hungry white girl.
The other highlight of the trip was a visit to the Ningbo Museum which is an impressive building designed by the architect Wang Shu, The Museum won him the 2012 Pritzker Architecture Prize which I think he well deserved.
