Nanjing 南京

For some reason we though it would be a great idea (I blame Mr P) to go on a hop-on-a-train-with-our-bikes trip to Nanjing last August when there was a flaming heatwave going over Chinaland.  During the cycling sightseeing there were times when I was so angry at P for making me bike up a hill in 40 degrees I threatened to never go on a bike again and I must have been pretty desperate because my preferred everyday commute is on a bike. I did though kind of get even by forgetting my passport which led to us having to stay half a day at the police station trying to sort that out because the Hotel didn´t want to check me in without a passport. China certainly tested our limits that day but I guess everything happens for a reason because I learned the valuable lesson of ALWAYS travelling with my passport and P learned never to ask me on a bike trip if there is any change of the temperature to be above 30 degrees, he will probably even draw the line to 20 degrees that is how annoying I was.
