These were my favourite Olympic Opening Ceremony Outfits.
The Norwegians being the coolest and the Mexican monochromes being the most
stylish. My first snowboard was exactly that same baby blue colour as the
Norwegians are wearing which reminds me how much I would like to go for some
slope action right now, been way too long. It´s interesting how many of the
outfits, both these above and the ones the athletes wear in the competition,
have the snowboard look to them, gone are the tight fitted skiing costumes.
I have been spending my down time the last two weeks
watching the Olympics. It is so impressive watching all the fearless supermen
and superwomen doing their the stuff. My favourite sport, given the dance sucker I
am, being figure skating and also freestyle snowboarding and skiing. It´s just
amazing what these people are capable off. My least favourite sport is the ice
curling. I get it that it can be fun to play and compete in (not really) but to
try to watch it is impossible.
I have no idea how it is to be a supreme athlete (the only
thing I come close to be on a world class level in is sale shopping) but I can
so feel all their joy and all their pain knowing how much crazy training and
sacrifice is behind their participation.
