For the first time ever while on a holiday trip (Thailand in February) I didn´t enter a single shopping mall. It was a bit refreshing to get away from all these temples of capitalism Shanghai is so packed with (and I even live on top off), and go visit real temples in stead. Ironically it was in one of the iconic Thai Temples I made my favourite purchase (the rest of the items I found on markets). The pretty gold Buddha statue which I bought for all the wrong reasons though. Namely to store jewellery. I have no shame.
