Xian is the home to one of the most famous historical monuments in China, the Terracotta Army. Thats the reason we took a weekend trip over there, to see them. Indeed they are very impressive and an amazing archaeologic find, but after seeing so many photos you always expect something more, bigger and astonishing. But luckily there are many more interesting sites that makes Xian worth visiting. My favourites begin the Muslim quarter, it´s so buzzing and colourful and even though it´s overcrowded (like every other tourist spot in China) it´s still so different and vibrant. And the City wall surrounding the city, it´s very well preserved with beautiful ancient Chinese temples. A perfect place for watching the sun go down.
