The Artist

I went to see the silent and black&white movie The artist yesterday and thought it was wonderful. I´m easily charmed but this movie is just a pleasure to watch, every frame is thought out and the costumes designed by Mark Bridges are beautiful. The humour is so simple and sweet and the over the top body language is fun to watch. All the dancing didn´t hurt either since I am a big sucker for dance.

A little dog plays a big role in the movie. It was apparently easy for the dogs trainer to direct him since it is a silent movie but I still think he is adorable and does a great job.

Designer Mark Bridges had to think in both colour and black and white.  “Things that you wouldn’t notice in colour suddenly showed up when it became black and white,” he said. “A simple beaded flapper dress suddenly became maternity wear
It's also the perfect timing to do a 20´s movie since the look is so in fashion these days.
I recommend you go see it and get charmed away.
