Shanghai Marathon 2012
1. Excited going out at hours when I am normally returning after a good night on the town 2. A rare sight, empty street in Shanghai 3. The mask worked perfectly until I started running 4. People behind 5. Yellow Marathoner 6. And people in front 7. At the finish chaos pending if we should go in the supe long queue to get a medal, we went to get food instead 8. Exhausted selfie 9. Very well deserved post Marathon cupcake.
Last November I ran
my first half Marathon and it was also my first time ever to run more
than 10 Km (I just couldn´t possibly stay longer on the treadmill and
running outside is not recommended air pollution
wise) Me and Mr P made it to the finishing line in 2.5 hours after
having had to leave a friend with a knee problem behind and Mr P wanting
to stop at every single water station we passed by and pee in between (
he has on his record four full marathons with the best time 3:48 but
you could not see it in this run). I was totally done afterwards, could
barely walk or stand straight but it was a great experience (I have
never seen so many runners wearing jeans, rubber shoes or sandals) and I might possibly maybe sometime do this again.
